Western Ireland and Shannonside - North Kerry to Sligo

The Shannon River at 386 kilometers is the longest river in Ireland spanning eleven counties from Sligo in the North West to the estuary in North Kerry in the south west. It forms a divide between the West and the rest of the country.

West Irland - Eire

West of the Shannon you’ll find some of the most wild and unspoilt countryside in Ireland. From the unique limestone landscapes of the Burren to the stunning Cliffs of Moher. This is where you find the real Ireland. In the traditional Irish music pubs of County Clare and the native Gaelic speaking region of Connemara. You’ll find breathtaking scenery, a rugged unpolluted coastline, dramatic mountains, woodlands and numerous lakes and rivers.

Shannonside or Shannon side
